1000kg of African Malachite & Chrysocolla: From Rough to Finished

There’s something pretty special about seeing a piece of rough stone transformed into a finished specimen, and these African Malachite and Chrysocolla pieces are a great example. Over 1000 kg of rough rock sourced from the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) was brought back to our workshop, where Mirec cut and polished the specimens. The colours are incredible – brilliant turquoise-blue Chrysocolla mixed through rich green Malachite, with gorgeous swirling patterns, rounded formations and natural variations throughout each piece.
